Richard A. Wooten

Senior Instructor of A+ Security and Safety served 23 years in Law Enforcement he retired a distinguished Chicago Police Officer who was a beat liaison officer under the Community Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS) program, and a member of tactical units. Wooten joined the CPD following a successful, decorated career in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of sergeant during his 6 ½ year stint, serving in Germany and in Iraq during the Desert Storm War. 

Wooten has additional specialty Training in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention and Executive Protection.

Wooten hold several Instructor certifications with the NRA, Illinois Department of Professional Regulations, and Illinois State Police.
